Airbnb users will now be able to book museum visits and wellness experiences on a redesigned app as the holiday property rental company expands its offering.
“17 years ago, we changed the way people travel. More than two billion guests later, Airbnb is synonymous with a place to stay,” said Brian Chesky, Airbnb co-founder and CEO.
“With the launch of services and experiences, we’re changing travel again. Now you can Airbnb more than an Airbnb.”

Airbnb‘s new experiences feature is initially launching in 650 cities across the world.
Guests can book a visit to a museum and other cultural experiences, or take food tours, cooking classes and more dining experiences.
Also available to Airbnb guests are outdoor attractions like water sports, or wellness and beauty treatments.
“Today’s travel activities offer no real connection to the city you’re visiting,” said Chesky.
“We’re changing travel again”
“The most authentic way to explore a city is with the locals who know it best. With Airbnb experiences, don’t just see a place – experience it.”
As for Airbnb services, this is launching with 10 categories in 260 cities.
Guests will be able to book chefs for their stays, as well as prepared meals, catering, photo sessions, massages, spa treatments, personal trainers, hair stylists, makeup artists,
“People choose hotels for their services. People choose Airbnbs for the space,” said Chesky. “Now, we’re giving you the best of both worlds – amazing homes with services that make them even more special.”

Similar to Airbnb’s Icons series, the company is also introducing Airbnb Originals, which offers unique experiences such as an anime attraction with Megan Thee Stallion, and a Sabrina Carpenter experience.
Finally, Airbnb has redesigned its app to allow users to book homes, services and experiences in one place.
Airbnb’s new updates come amid a growing trend for immersive hotel experiences.
