British Airways i360, an observation tower attraction in Brighton, has launched a thrilling new sky walk experience called ‘Walk 360’.

Thrill-seekers get the chance to climb out of the attraction’s glass viewing pod and onto the roof before walking 360 degrees at 450 feet above Brighton beach.

“A lot more than your average seaside stroll, Walk 360 is an open-air, heart-in-mouth experience that cannot be undertaken anywhere else on the south coast,” according to a news release.

“We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the ‘Extreme 360’ activity portfolio at BA i360,” said Ian Hart, chief operating officer at British Airways i360.

“Open-air, heart-in-mouth experience”

“Walk 360 is an exhilarating experience and offers the public a chance to see Brighton as they never have before.”

Participants board the glass viewing pod before gliding slowly to the top of the attraction. Each guest is clipped onto a safety system to climb a short ladder. They are then secured by a harness to the safety rail system on top of the pod.

“With the ‘Climb 360’ that we launched just last year, and the ‘Drop 360’ abseil on offer, BA i360 is fast becoming the centre of adrenaline-fuelled activities in Brighton in addition to a unique viewing attraction,” Hart added.

“I’m confident this extreme activity will appeal to a new audience for our business, those that enjoy adrenaline-fuelled activities which give you the buzz of accomplishment and leave you feeling elated.”

Elsewhere, Blackpool Pleasure Beach has been offering thrilling experiences that allow guests to climb the Big Dipper and the Big One.

Edge at Hudson Yards, the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere, is home to a skyscraper climbing experience called City Climb.

Ain Dubai, the world’s tallest and largest observation wheel, opened in October 2021.
