Hulk Hogan on the hunt for exciting new interactive attractions

News

The wrestling legend is heading to IAAPA to shop for new guest experiences for his expanded International Drive beach shop in Orlando, Florida.

Hulk Hogan‘s Hogan’s Beach Shop is going to be moving to a much larger location on the ground floor of the Hollywood Plaza.  The new space is under construction at the moment but will end up at around 40 percent larger than the current venue, at almost 4,000 square feet.

IAAPA logoHulk Hogan has already planned the launch of a new attraction at the shop – guests will be able to cut wrestling promos.  However he wants to add more thrills to the retail experience and he has announced he’ll be coming to IAPPA with an eye to buy.

“I just want to go see what the new stuff is… Crazy stuff that might make you feel, see, smell and hear what it’s like to be in front of 20,000 people,” he said. “IAAPA convention, get ready!”

Terry Gene Bollea was born on August 11th 1953, in Augusta Georgia.  He was discovered in 1979 by Vincent McMahon Sr., the owner of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). McMahon suggested he adopt the ring name, Hulk Hogan, because of his huge physique (he was 6’ 8” tall and weighed 303 pounds) and his uncanny similarity to The Incredible Hulk.

In 1984, Hogan was awarded the WWF championship belt for his defeat of the Iron Sheik and he began his rise to superstardom.  He is now famed, not only as a legendary wrestler, but also as an actor, TV personality, entrepreneur and even a bass player.

He currently owns two shops, the one on International Drive, Orlando and another in Clearwater, Florida.

IAAPA is held in November at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
