Guests will meet The Conjuring‘s Annabelle and the nun, The Exorcist‘s Regan, and It‘s Pennywise

Madame Tussauds and Warner. Bros have teamed up with the InterContinental Hotels Group to launch an overnight eerie experience in New York for Halloween.

Horror fans can book to stay at the entrance of Warner Bros. Icons of Horror at Madame Tussauds New York on 31 October. The room was also available on Friday the 13th.

Before the nighttime tricks begin, guests will have drinks and a three-course dinner inspired by Warner Bros.’ The Exorcist and New Line Cinema’s The Conjuring and It from InterContinental’s room service menu.

Then, when the doors to Madame Tussauds close, guests will start their stay in a scary ‘subway’ station and explore scenes from the above-mentioned horror franchises.

They will meet possessed doll Annabelle in a child’s bedroom tea party, as well as the nun (also known as Valak) from The Conjuring universe.

Regan from The Exorcist will be seen floating above her bed, and guests will be terrorised by Pennywise the dancing clown from It in the Neibolt house.

The experience for two guests starts at $4,000 and includes tickets to Madame Tussauds, the three-course dinner, cocktails inspired by creepy characters, an exclusive tour of the wax figure studio, custom-cast wax hands, professional photos, and a fully stocked minibar.

Elsewhere this Halloween, London’s Saw escape experience is running a series of after-dark parties throughout October. Las Vegas’ It-themed escape room has also expanded to include an It Chapter Two experience.

Horror LBE experiences

Additionally, Universal Destinations & Experiences has announced the name of its first-ever permanent Halloween Horror Nights experience – Universal Horror Unleashed

On the new attraction at Area15 in Las Vegas, Halloween Horror Nights creative director and executive producer John Murdy told blooloop: “That’s being done by the part of Universal that I used to work for, Universal Creative.

“But I did meet with the entire team and shared our knowledge of creating things. I’ve done over 100 of these haunted houses now in my career. So, I shared with them how we do it, the systems we put together to create and produce this.”
