The official opening of the Zhejiang Riverside Themed Town Exhibition Centre offers a preview of the exciting new development.
The exhibition centre is a state of the art facility that will offer visitors a first-hand experience of the planned Riverside Themed Town. The 30 billion yuan (USD $4.6 billion) development will be set along the Yangtze River Delta. It is expected to become one of the most desirable residential and retail communities in China.
The first-ever Six Flags branded theme and water parks will provide a stunning, high-octane centrepiece for the town.
The project is a collaboration between Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, the world’s largest regional theme park company, and Riverside Investment Group Co. Ltd., an award-winning tourism and real estate developer.
“Six Flags is thrilled to be an integral part of this phenomenal preview centre and the future Zhejiang Riverside Themed Town,” says John Odum, Six Flags International President. “The Six Flags Zhejiang theme and water parks will feature record-breaking roller coasters, family rides, thrilling water slides and world-class shows—along with themed sections that will pay homage to the rich and storied Chinese history and culture.”
The centre will showcase all the amenities that are planned for this mixed-use community. Thrill seekers, from all age brackets, will be able to enjoy the wide range of interactive activities and displays that typify the Six Flags experience.
The centre launch was attended by officials from the Zhejiang Province, Jiaxing City and Haiyan County government. Other notable industry leaders and partners also attended, including Coca-Cola, Paws Inc., Paramount Hotels & Resorts Pierre & Vacances, and Center Parcs.
