Immersive and experiential touring exhibitions

Barbican AI More than Human

Barbican Immersive is the touring exhibition arm of The Barbican: one of London’s most iconic cultural hubs and is a major destination for art, music, theatre, and film. It is a leading developer of immersive exhibitions, focused on contemporary culture, innovative technologies, and digital creativity. These immersive and experiential shows tour globally, bringing the unique perspective of The Barbican to audiences around the world.

Touring Exhibitions

Barbican Immersive presents a variety of major shows that are available as touring exhibitions. Their approach involves taking familiar subjects and themes and reimagining them in innovative ways, aiming to challenge audience perceptions and offer new perspectives.

Virtual Realms

Virtual Realms is an exhibition that combines 6 brand new interactive experiences from leading video game designers and curated by Tetsuya Mizuguchi. Themes covered include synesthesia, unity, play, connection, narrative, and everything, and audiences are invited to experience video games as never before and gain a new perspective on the media form.

AI: More than Human

A collaboration between several artists, AI: More than Human explores the entire and rapidly developing history of AI, told through cutting-edge research projects. Audiences get the opportunity to engage with AI first hand and are given the tools needed to make informed decisions when navigating this emerging world.

Our Time on Earth

Our Time on Earth is Barbican Immersive’s exhibition showcasing creative solutions to the climate crisis. Through 18 immersive works, it explores how art, technology, and collaboration can reimagine our relationship with the planet. Divided into three themes—Belong, Imagine, and Engage—the exhibition encourages visitors to connect with the climate challenge and feel empowered to act.

Asian Comics: Evolution of Artform

Asian Comics: Evolution of Artform showcases over 500 works, the largest collection of Asian comic art ever assembled. It explores the often undiscussed world of graphic storytelling, tracing the evolution of comics and story-driven art across Asia, from traditional works to modern styles.
