The Disney Adventure stands as a monumental achievement in cruise and themed entertainment design, delivering a bold vision where every guest embarks on a journey into the heart of Disney storytelling. Launched on December 21, 2024, as Disney Cruise Line’s largest vessel and the first to bring Disney magic to Southeast Asia, Disney Adventure truly redefines what a cruise ship can be—a destination, where world-class design and next-generation entertainment come together at an unprecedented scale.

At 208,000 gross tons with 20 decks and 2,111 staterooms, the Disney Adventure accommodates up to 6,700 guests and ranks among the largest fifteen cruise ships in the world, at the time of its inaugural sailing. It is 30% larger than the Disney Wish class ships and includes four iconic red funnels (first time for the fleet). The project is a testament to creative ingenuity and resilience. Originally constructed as the Global Dream by Genting Hong Kong, Disney Cruise Line acquired the partially completed vessel in 2022 and completely reimagined an unfinished ship into a distinctly Disney experience in over three years.

Immersive Storytelling and Intentional Design

More than a cruise ship, Disney Adventure draws on the storytelling traditions of Disney destinations worldwide, it invites guests into a collection of immersive areas filled with beloved characters, interactive experiences, entertainment, dining and discovery. Every venue was thoughtfully designed from bow to stern creating an environment where guests are encouraged to dream bigger, explore farther and experience adventure together.

At its heart is Disney Imagination Garden, a sprawling open-air gathering space with Disney’s first castle at sea. Disney Discovery Reef, Toy Story Place, Marvel Landing, Wayfinder Bay, San Fransokyo Street and Town Square each bring stories to life through authentic placemaking, inspired architecture, and richly layered experiences.

These areas are more than scenic backdrops, they’re aquatic play areas, outdoor entertainment venues, richly themed dining, and interactive attractions. Marvel Landing introduces Disney Cruise Line’s first ride-focused adventure zone, including the longest roller coaster at sea, while San Fransokyo Street creates the largest fully immersive themed area ever developed aboard a Disney ship.

The Disney Adventure introduces six rotational dining venues doubling the Disney Cruise Line tradition and elevates premium experiences with collaborations from global brands like Bacha Coffee and TWG Tea, the world’s first Duffy the Bear store at sea, and the first Disney National Geographic merchandise boutique.

Pioneering Entertainment

The Disney Adventure redefines cruise entertainment, blending Disney storytelling with groundbreaking at-sea experiences. Guests can enjoy Broadway-style musicals, fireworks at sea, and character encounters across the ship. The Garden Stage is the theatrical centerpiece of Disney Imagination Garden, featuring 3-deck-high LED screens and all new stage shows like “Duffy and The Friend Ship” and stunt show “Avengers Assemble!”.

"Disney’s Remember" is a brand-new, signature stage show exclusively in the Walt Disney Theater aboard Disney Adventure. This original production celebrates over a century of Disney magic transforming the theater into a living storybook.

"Moana: Call of the Sea" is a unique, open-air entertainment experience presented at Wayfinder Bay. It invites guests to join Moana on a journey of music and discovery with amphitheater-style seating surrounding the pool, families are immersed in the storytelling of Moana’s adventure.

By transforming a former cruise vessel into a world-class storytelling destination, Disney Adventure expands the possibilities of themed entertainment at sea.
