Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, is extending its integrations to include Square POS. With this, family entertainment centres (FECs) and attractions can connect retail and F&B operations to Embed’s cashless ecosystem.
Operators using Square’s POS platform are now able to sell Embed card products directly through the Square application. This removes the need for multiple systems and simplifies transactions throughout the venue.
Michael Lopez, GM, The Americas, Embed, says: "Operators asked for a seamless way to connect Square with Embed— we listened, and we’ve delivered.
"This integration is about removing friction at every touchpoint, helping venues run smarter, sell faster, and create a more connected guest journey."
Addressing operators' day-to-day realities
This integration marks Embed’s dedication to creating products and services that enhance operational efficiency and elevate the visitor experience by combining F&B, retail, and attractions revenue streams into a unified, connected workflow.
In addition to streamlining operations and enabling the direct sale of Embed game cards through Square POS, the integration reduces transactional friction and the complexity of staff training while improving speed of service and visitor satisfaction.
Doug Mechling, owner and operator of Star Lanes Polaris, recently named AAMA FEC Location of the Year, says: "As an operator using both Square and Embed, this integration is exactly what we’ve been waiting for.
"Being able to sell Embed cards, other products, and services directly through Square simplifies our operations, reduces friction for our team, and creates a more seamless experience for our guests.
"It’s a game-changer for how we run our venue day to day. I appreciate the efforts of the Embed team for literally listening to us as customers to understand our needs and to help create the solution."
The Square POS integration is now available to operators with the Embed TOOLKIT.
In March, Embed recognised International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month with the release of Rise & Renewal: Women’s Stories of Strength.
