ExperienceBank acts as a bridge between booking systems and OTAs

DigiTickets, a leading provider of ticketing and POS software solutions for the leisure industry, is celebrating that ExperienceBank, the Channel Manager that connects attractions & experience providers with OTAs, has achieved Certified status with OCTO.

OCTO is the open API standard for connectivity in the leisure industry.

Connected distribution allows attractions to expand, diversify their audience, and maximise the value of their existing systems. However, each new sales channel introduces benefits and challenges: sharing real-time availability, maintaining pricing rules, and validating third-party tickets.

ExperienceBank acts as a bridge between booking systems and OTAs, helping attractions, events, and experience providers broaden their reach by selling tickets through online travel agencies such as GetYourGuide, Viator, Civitatis, and more.

One standard for connectivity

By achieving OCTO certification, ExperienceBank guarantees that integrations with booking systems, attractions, event venues, and OTAs meet industry standards, providing seamless and future-proof connections.

Leading booking systems using ExperienceBank are already seeing the benefits. Jamie Faulkner, operations director at DigiTickets, says:

“ExperienceBank achieving OCTO compliance reflects their commitment to an open, connected experiences industry. Standards like OCTO remove friction for everyone – providers, booking systems, and OTA’s alike – DigiTickets is proud to work with ExperienceBank and be part of that movement.”

Experience Bank is fully integrated with DigiTickets.

Last week, DigiTickets also announced a partnership with Agility Marketing, a specialist visitor attraction marketing agency, to create Visitor Attraction Intelligence (VAI) and uncover the trends shaping the industry.

Using data from millions of anonymised DigiTickets bookings, along with insights from Agility's visitor attraction analysis and expertise, VAI aims to deliver intelligence that supports decision-making.

VAI examines broader trends, shifts, and opportunities rather than just individual attractions. It launches today, ahead of IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 in London. During the event, the team will also unveil the inaugural report on booking lead times to help attraction operators craft more informed strategies.
