Experience UK is the UK’s leading trade body dedicated to championing the Experience Economy, both at home and around the world.

Experience UK

Overview:

Experience UK is a dynamic, not-for-profit trade association that represents a diverse and innovative network of British businesses involved in the creation and delivery of world-class visitor attractions and experiences. Its membership spans the full spectrum of the experience economy, including theme parks, museums, live events, immersive retail, and cultural destinations. These organisations are responsible for designing, producing, engineering, and operating some of the most engaging and iconic experiences both in the UK and internationally.

The association brings together a wide range of expertise, including experienced designers, architects, engineers, producers, consultants, immersive technology specialists, and operators. By uniting these disciplines, Experience UK reflects the strength and depth of the UK’s experience economy supply chain. It plays a key role in championing the country’s reputation for creativity, innovation, and technical excellence on a global stage.

Working closely with the UK Government, particularly the experience economy team within the Department for Business and Trade, Experience UK supports the growth and reach of this fast-expanding sector. The UK is widely recognised as a global leader in experience creation, and the organisation’s mission is to showcase this leadership, help its members expand into new markets, and ensure continued global competitiveness.

Experience UK focuses on three core objectives: raising the profile of the UK experience economy, supporting members with practical tools and opportunities, and advocating for the sector with government and international stakeholders. Through these priorities, it ensures that its members are well-positioned to succeed in an increasingly competitive and globalised market.

To achieve this, Experience UK delivers a comprehensive, year-round programme of support. This includes facilitating UK Pavilions at major international trade shows, allowing members to present their work alongside other leading UK businesses. It also organises tailored trade missions, enabling companies to explore and access new international markets through focused delegations.

Members benefit from a wide range of events, webinars, and conferences designed to inform, connect, and inspire. In addition, Experience UK provides valuable market intelligence, including daily tender alerts, bespoke reports, and industry research. The organisation also supports business promotion by sharing member news, projects, and services across its platforms and publications, including the Annual Experience UK Guide.

Crucially, Experience UK fosters strong industry connections by linking members with global contacts, embassies, and key stakeholders, often facilitating introductions directly. It also represents the sector’s interests through advocacy and lobbying efforts, ensuring members’ voices are heard by policymakers and trade bodies.

Additional benefits include partner discounts on essential services such as insurance, logistics, and foreign exchange. Overall, Experience UK offers a collaborative and forward-thinking community that empowers businesses to grow, connect, and succeed within the global experience economy.
