Fantawild Holdings Inc., a leading one-stop solution provider in the theme park industry, officially launched its newest theme park, Boonie Bears Land, on 28 September. This represents a key milestone in Huai’an city’s cultural tourism growth and Fantawild’s ongoing expansion within the entertainment and attraction sector.
The new Boonie Bears-themed amusement park in Jiangsu attracted many visitors on its opening day. Its popularity is fuelled by the franchise's appeal, fairytale design, themed attractions, and live shows. Located in Huai'an, it's becoming a popular family vacation spot in Jiangsu and the Yangtze River Delta.
Using its expertise in theme park design and operations, Fantawild has created a family destination with interactive shows, attractions, and activities for all ages, based on its popular characters. The park has seven themed zones with eight indoor attractions and 25 outdoor rides. Its design focuses on immersive performances that blend fantasy and reality, drawing visitors into the Boonie Bears universe.
Bringing favourite characters to life
Boonie Bears Land plans to continue enhancing its themed performances and interactive experiences to better serve local families' leisure needs and attract visitors from nearby cities. Aiming to become a top family vacation spot in Jiangsu, it positions itself as a cultural landmark with regional influence across the Yangtze River Delta.
Visitors entered a whimsical world with treehouses, forest paths, and sculptures of Boonie Bears characters in a colourful, fairytale-like setting.
The park’s key feature is its interactivity. Daily Boonie Bears Meet-&-Greet performances let kids meet their favourite characters like Briar, Bramble, and Vick, who appear to have come from Pine Tree Mountain to high-five, take photos, and engage with visitors. The Forest Carnival Parade features colourful floats and energetic performers, inviting guests to sing and dance.
Inspired by the Boonie Bears movie series, attractions use advanced tech, including dome theatres, augmented reality (AR), and water adventures, to bring the animated world to life. By enabling visitor participation, they offer an immersive entertainment experience.
Boonie Bears Theater uses track-tracing and VR to immerse audiences in the animated franchise world. Nearby, Vick’s House highlights iconic scenes from the series, inviting children to step inside the character’s cabin.
Outdoor rides like Tribal Twist and Wave Riders combine the charm of Boonie Bears with thrilling, energetic elements, inspiring adventure in young visitors. Attractions like Eye in the Sky, Flying Chair, and Surf’s Up evoke nostalgia in adults, providing joyful, lighthearted experiences that help all guests reconnect with their inner child.
An immersive world
Three dedicated restaurants creatively incorporate elements from the Boonie Bears universe, with playful décor and meal presentations designed to appeal to families and young children.
Standout items include family-sized pizzas and ice creams shaped like popular Boonie Bears characters. A diverse selection of speciality snacks, incorporating flavours from both northern and southern China, ensures there is something to satisfy every palate.
The park’s themed stores offer various Boonie Bears merchandise, including exclusive Fantawild items. The entertainment group has also focused on guest comfort and accessibility, providing services such as mobility scooters, nursing rooms, children’s rest areas, a police station, and a medical clinic.
Fantawild’s theme parks in Huai’an offer family entertainment and are key to the city’s cultural tourism growth.
The grand opening of Boonie Bears Land represents a strategic advancement, enhancing the existing Glorious Orient Huai’an park with a dual-theme entertainment approach. This model combines “modern history" with family-friendly entertainment and leisure, creating a unique city attraction.
Earlier this summer, Fantawild also launched Oriental Legend, its new theme park in Ziyang, China.
