Gateway Ticketing Systems honours employees at annual awards ceremony

Event celebrated team members that embody the firm's core values

Gateway Ticketing Systems, a leading provider of admission control systems, has recognised 34 employees who demonstrated the company’s Core Values of Customer Care, Integrity, Passion, Accountability, Teamwork, Communication, and Innovation, as well as a strong work ethic and company spirit.

These recipients were chosen for their notable contributions and unwavering loyalty to the company’s principles, culture, and overall success in 2025.

The awards celebrate exceptional achievements and performance, rooted in Gateway’s Core Values and observed by leaders and peers alike over the past year.

Organised into three categories – Core Value Awards, Polaris Awards, and the President’s Award – the event honours individuals who exemplify the strong foundation and culture that enable Gateway to keep growing and succeeding.

Core Value Awards

Customer Care Award – This recognition is awarded to employees who consistently excel in customer service through their delivery and presentation, helping Gateway Ticketing Systems provide an unmatched customer experience. This year, two employees—Kensie Thomas and Lisa Hustej—were honoured.

Integrity Award – This award is given to an employee who consistently demonstrates strong character, honesty, and fairness in all interactions with customers and colleagues. This year, two employees received this award - Andrea Scott and Erik Kapilow.

Passion Award – This recognises an employee who demonstrates exceptional dedication and enthusiasm for the company, mission, and customers. Two Gateway employees received this award - Zach Yusypchuk and Tom Traegler.

Accountability Award – This is awarded to an employee who demonstrates a high level of ownership and responsibility in their work by seeing projects through to completion, meeting deadlines, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. Two Gateway employees received this award - Jon Sapsay and Josh Block.

Teamwork Award – This award acknowledges employees who excel at building and maintaining cooperative, collaborative professional relationships. This year, Gateway recognised two outstanding employees, Wes Moser and Amy Roberts.

Communication Award – Awarded to an employee who consistently demonstrates clear, concise communication. They listen carefully before responding and always assume positive intent. This recognition was given to two employees: Hillary Rooker and Faye Palgan.

Innovation Award – This is given to an employee whose innovative and bold ideas maintain Gateway’s reputation as a leading industry pioneer. Two employees received this award - Ted Mike and Jim Fritchman.

Polaris Awards

Calm in the Eye of the Storm Award – This award honours employees who stay calm and focused during chaotic, high-pressure situations, consistently delivering excellent results. It was awarded to Grant Rozich and Kate Porembo.

Positive Vibes Award – This recognises an employee who motivates colleagues, maintains a positive atmosphere through encouragement and humour, and makes the workplace enjoyable. Two employees received this award - Patty Mulkern and Vic Morgan.

Outstanding Mentor Award – This award honours employees who help others to meet goals, mentor, suggest initiatives, or support productivity, including coaching newer associates. This year, Chris Klimczewski and David Lambert were recognised.

Out of This World Performance Award – This award celebrates the A Player who consistently delivers exceptional results, is highly respected by their peers, and exemplifies all the Core Values while maintaining a positive outlook. This award was given to two employees - Anthony Bonanno and Matt Steckiel.

Overcoming Obstacles Award – This is awarded to an employee who persistently pursues goals despite difficulties, finding ways to complete the mission despite unexpected challenges, limited resources, or inflexible timelines. This year, Gateway honoured two employees - Wendy Yambor and Kate Porembo.

Unsung Hero Award – This is given to an employee in a non-customer-facing role whose behind-the-scenes support significantly impacts the company's more visible operations. Two employees received this recognition - Ted Mentzer and Amy Roberts.

Company Spirit Award – This highlights an employee who exemplifies the company’s culture, mission, and values in their interactions with customers and other staff. Two employees were recognised with this award - Kevin Robinson and Kate Jones.

Technical Excellence Award – This is intended for an employee who consistently demonstrates excellence in problem-solving, including developing or implementing challenging or complex issues, projects, or applications. Gateway acknowledged two employees with this distinction - Jon Sapsay and Tom Lee.

Rookie of the Year Award – This award is given to an individual who joined within the past year and has, in a short period, significantly impacted their team and the company through outstanding performance and game-changing potential. Gateway recognised two new starters - Owen Fowles and Zac Wilson.

President’s Award – This prestigious award is presented to an individual who demonstrates exceptional performance and notable personal achievement that leads to meaningful results. The awardee embodies the company’s Core Values in all their actions. Gateway celebrated two employees - Jen Porter and Kevin Wieand.

Last year, Gateway Ticketing Systems was named one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania for 2025. This annual award is designed to identify and celebrate employers that create outstanding workplace cultures, and underscores Gateway's continuing dedication to its people and purpose.
