Immersive Fort Tokyo, a theme park for immersive experiences in Tokyo, Japan, is to close less than two years after opening.
Opened in Tokyo's Odaiba area in March 2024, the park is home to 12 immersive attractions, as well as six shops and restaurants.
On its website, Immersive Fort Tokyo has announced that its grand finale will take place on 28 February, and said it hopes to reopen in a new location.

In a statement, the park wrote: "We hope to take this new form of immersive entertainment that we have created together with you to the next level and meet you all again in a new venue.
"For the remaining time until the grand finale, all cast and staff will work together as one to continue delivering the best immersive entertainment to all of you who have supported us up until now."
New venue for Immersive Fort Tokyo
Immersive Fort Tokyo is operated by Osaka-based Katana, a marketing and entertainment firm focused on the Japanese theme park industry.
Via the Yomiuri Shumbun, a Katana statement said: “We’ve concluded that the facility’s size is too excessive [for our business model]."
"We’ll take advantage of the expertise we’ve gained through running the facility [for our future business]."

Immersive Fort Tokyo was the first project of its kind in the world, providing an experience where guests can participate and interact as players rather than observers.
Highlights include a large-scale immersive theatre experience, a horror experience, and a show that suddenly debuts in a restaurant.
Other attractions include a Sherlock Holmes experience, and a Jack the Ripper adventure.
