As the founder and director of the Future of StoryTelling, Charles Melcher has been a pioneering force in the immersive storytelling industry, always pushing the boundaries of how stories are conceived, told and experienced in the digital age. Melcher has curated, produced and created immersive experiences for leading international brands like Meta, Walmart, Microsoft and Apple.
The Future of StoryTelling is a multidisciplinary story studio that gathers the world’s top creatives, executives and technologists from the storytelling industry and gets them networking, sharing best practices, cross-pollinating and collaborating. Established in 2012, the studio explores cutting-edge developments in storytelling and technology.
Under his leadership, the Future of StoryTelling (FoST) has become a global hub for innovative thinkers, creators and technologists working to redefine storytelling. With the annual FoST Summit, Melcher created a platform to showcase cutting-edge immersive experiences, and fostered meaningful conversations about the future of storytelling across mediums like VR, AR and AI. In addition, he launched the FoST Explorer’s Club, a unique programme that offers members behind-the-scenes access to some of the top immersive attractions and innovative cultural institutions across the globe.
Before founding FoST, Melcher started Melcher Media in 1993. This boutique agency built a reputation for producing high-quality illustrated books.
