Cory Rouse has more than 30 years’ experience in immersive and themed entertainment, theatre, TV and film. Currently, he is a senior creative director and immersive experience leader at Walt Disney Imagineering, the creative powerhouse that designs and builds all the Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions and cruise ships. Imagineering was set up as Walt Disney’s personal innovation think-tank and now employs thousands of Imagineers around the world.
At Walt Disney Imagineering, Rouse leads multi-award-winning teams that create playful, high-volume, commercial immersive experiences. He is passionate about designing immersive environments that bring people together, and that foster inclusive, people-centric storytelling. He has developed industry-leading techniques of immersive design that integrate emerging technology, mobile app development, world-building, merchandise, food and beverage, and operational acumen. His notable projects include Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, Legends of Frontierland, and Muppet Mobile Lab.
