She has consistently led initiatives to integrate VR, AR, and Mixed Reality, expanding the possibilities within digital and immersive experiences across various sectors, including education, peacekeeping, nonprofits, art institutions, and government agencies. In 2023, Maya Georgieva curated the inaugural Quantum Art Exhibition, ‘Creative Expressions of the Infamously Counterintuitive,’ with sponsorship from IBM Quantum at the Microscope Gallery in New York City. Additionally, she played a key role in launching “Speculative Cultures: A Virtual Reality Exhibition” in early 2019 at the Sheila Johnson Design Center, one of the first gallery showcases to incorporate virtual reality headsets.
