Page Thompson is President, New Ventures for Universal Destinations & Experiences, responsible for the development and operations of new UDX projects around the world.

He was previously President and COO, International for UDX, supervising the operations of Universal Studios Japan, the development and initial operations of the Universal Beijing Resort, and managing the relationship with the licensee at Universal Studios Singapore.

Mr Thompson joined Comcast, the parent company of NBCUniversal, in 2002. Before joining Universal Parks & Resorts, Mr Thompson was Executive Vice President of Strategic Integration for NBCUniversal, responsible for identifying marketing, creative, technological and strategic working opportunities between Comcast, NBC, Universal Studios and Parks and the cable channels. He assumed that position following the merger of Comcast and NBCUniversal.

Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Mr Thompson served as President of GOLF CHANNEL, overseeing programming, production and operations, consumer and affiliate marketing, promotional strategies, and new media applications. During Mr Thompson’s tenure as President, the network achieved its highest ratings ever and record levels of distribution(83 million homes in the U.S. and 50 million overseas). Mr Thompson was instrumental in the network’s successful launch of golfnow.com — the industry leader in digital tee time reservations — and the acquisitions of ten additional companies in the online golf space. He also managed relationships with every major golf tour.

Before joining GOLF CHANNEL in 2007, Mr Thompson was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Video Services for Comcast Cable. He was responsible for theCompany’s video product and is credited with building Comcast’s industry leadingvideo-on-demand service from conception to a platform that boasted more than 9,000programs each month and more than 4 billion views from 2004 until the time of his departure. While at Comcast, he co-chaired the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing’s On Demand Consortium.

Earlier in his career, Mr Thompson held several marketing positions with both GeneralCinema Theatres (now part of the Dalian Wanda Group) and the Pepsi-Cola Company. He also worked in account management for New York advertising agency Benton & Bowles (now part of Publicis).

Mr Thompson earned a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is married with two children.
