Innovative Leisure, a leading supplier of adventure attractions, has announced that Battle Bar, an energetic new competitive attraction from Spectrum Sports International, is now available for the European market.

Battle Bar proved popular at IAAPA Expo 2025 in Orlando, attracting large crowds, with operators, FEC owners, and attraction developers queuing up to experience the high-intensity, player-versus-player challenge.

The mix of athletic competition, quick throughput, and a visually striking design made it a natural draw for attendees. IAAPA visitors praised its combination of physical engagement and social play—two trends that dominate today’s active entertainment and adventure-play markets.

Active entertainment

The Battle Bar pits two participants against each other on adjacent pull-up bars. They are harnessed and lifted nearly 20 feet into the air, trying to outlast their opponent while the timers count down.

Operators can also set up a leaderboard to crown an overall ‘Hang Tough Champion’. When someone lets go, the safety system gently lowers them back to the ground using an auto-belay.

This setup offers excitement in a compact space, making it ideal for mobile event organisers, public relations activities, adventure parks, visitor attractions, and leisure venues aiming to boost their active, competitive offerings.

At IAAPA, operators emphasised how swiftly the attraction attracted attention, as noted by one show attendee: "The Battle Bar had a constant crowd. It’s competitive, it’s physical, and it’s extremely fun to watch—exactly what modern attractions need to be."

Its visual theatre, featuring vibrant themes, clear sightlines, and a spectator-friendly layout, made it an ideal attraction for venues that depend on repeat performances and group participation.

Innovative Leisure, which supplies climbing walls, zip experiences, high ropes, and interactive adventure attractions throughout Europe, recognised the Battle Bar as a fitting complement to its growing active entertainment offerings. Managing director Phil Pickersgill says:

“After seeing the excitement and the consistent interest at IAAPA, it was clear that the Battle Bar fills a unique and timely niche.

“European operators are continually looking for compact, high-throughput attractions that offer strong visual appeal and encourage social competition. The Battle Bar delivers on all fronts.”

Ideal for a range of venues

As competitive socialising continues to grow throughout Europe, the Battle Bar comes at an opportune time.

Its compact size and straightforward operation, supported by Innovative Leisure’s training and ongoing support, make it ideal for a range of venues, from adventure centres and resorts to climbing gyms and family entertainment centres looking to enhance their appeal without extensive infrastructure modifications.

The mobile system offers flexibility, while its durable construction supports high usage cycles and meets the safety requirements of the European market.

Following its success in Orlando, demand for the Battle Bar is expected to grow as European operators add more active experiences. With Innovative Leisure managing distribution, installation, and support, the Battle Bar is poised to become a key addition to Europe's leisure scene.

Innovative Leisure celebrated its 25th anniversary in September last year. Since August 2000, it has built hundreds of adventure attractions throughout the UK and Europe for local authorities, farm attractions, zoos, safari parks and more.
