Jora Vision, a leading design and production company, designed the aesthetic for BillyBird Drakenrijk's new indoor playground and crafted the fire-breathing dragon that now serves as a focal point in the space.
The dragon acts as a visual anchor and strengthens the Drakenrijk brand identity within the indoor environment.
BillyBird Drakenrijk officially opened the playground on 1 February during a festive ceremony attended by visitors, invited guests, and BillyBird members.
The opening featured speeches by Martijn Derks, mayor of Beesel; Linda van den Beucken, alderman of Beese, and Stephan Satijn, deputy of the province of Limburg, culminating in a spectacular opening show.

Ton Derks says: “We now have a beach pool for days above 25 degrees. An outdoor playground for the dry days between 10 and 25 degrees. An indoor playground for the days when it rains or is cold. And nature for the experience of freedom.”
A year-round attraction
The expansion allows the park to host visitors year-round, no matter the weather. For BillyBird and the Derks family, opening day signifies a significant milestone that represents years of development, dedication, and collaboration with partners, suppliers, the municipality, and the province
Ton Derks also thanked the BillyBird team, partners, and his family: Paul Derks, Herman Derks, Maarten Derks, Esther van Ras Derks, and Gerrie Derks. Drakenrijk is now prepared to welcome visitors from the Netherlands and abroad every day of the year, with park manager Sjors Driessen and team ready to provide memorable family experiences.

The Jora Vision team says that it was a pleasure to contribute to this important milestone. It collaborated closely with the Derks family to transform their vision into a unified themed environment that enhances the current park experience.
This project demonstrates a strong partnership between the client and the creative partner, supporting BillyBird’s long-term development aims. It also showcases Jora Vision’s skill in themed design and signature show elements, helping leisure operators realise their vision through compelling visual identity and storytelling.
"We have always had the utmost confidence in JoraVision," says BillyBird Drakenrijk. "When we collaborate with them on a project, we know for certain that the process will run smoothly and the result will be perfect."
Last month, Jora Vision announced that it is bringing RemarkaBall, its automated, immersive minigolf concept developed in partnership with Lagotronics, to five new locations in the Netherlands.
