Collaboration will drive the development of unique, licensable immersive experiences

Katapult, the international guest experience design agency, has entered into a landmark partnership with The Natural History Museum in the UK to develop unique, licensable experiences.

By combining the Museum's internationally renowned brand and scientific expertise with Katapult's acclaimed design abilities, the collaboration will produce a new portfolio of immersive experiences.

These concepts are being designed explicitly for visitor attractions, operators, and investors that require commercially successful and highly marketable attractions.

Interested organisations can meet Katapult for exclusive, preliminary conversations at IAAPA Expo 2025, which is taking place in Orlando this week.

Incredible stories & inspiring experiences

Maxine Lister, head of licensing at The Natural History Museum, says: "In recent years, the Museum has expanded into immersive forms of storytelling to connect with new audiences.

"This collaboration with Katapult will leverage their exceptional skills to bring the story of our planet’s history to a brand-new audience. We want to inspire families, fill them with wonder for our natural world, and empower them to take action to shape its future."

Dawn Foote, CEO and co-founder of Katapult, says: "We are thrilled to be working with the Natural History Museum, a global authority on the natural world.

"This collaboration allows us to do what we do best: tell incredible stories through unforgettable experiences, while also being commercially successful. We’re excited to invite interested partners to meet with us during the IAAPA Expo to explore opportunities.”

Investment and partnership opportunities are now available. Interested parties attending IAAPA Expo are welcome to visit the Katapult booth (#1375) to arrange a private discussion about the new initiative.

Last month, Katapult revealed that it is creating a brand new Gladiators Experience in the UK in partnership with Live Nation, MGM, Floor-Jon Films Inc., and Patrick Doherty Design.

For the first time, fans of the popular BBC show can take on the role of contenders, testing their speed, strength, and skill across the show’s famous challenges. The Gladiators Experience is expected to open at the NEC Birmingham in May 2026.
