Legacy Entertainment, a leading theme park and resort design company, has announced the launch of The Safari Park Company, its seventh dedicated division.

This new specialised business unit has been established in response to significant worldwide demand for Legacy to design all-new Safari Parks and to refurbish and extend existing zoos and animal attractions.

Barry Kemper, Legacy Entertainment’s chief operating officer and one of the company’s owners, says: "The design and production of Safari Parks has, quite unexpectedly, recently emerged as Legacy’s most in-demand service offering.

"Today, as animal parks all around the world have finally moved away from traditional cages and pens, we’re excited to help both new and established operators design, create and produce sanctuary-style habitats in which animals can thrive and by which visitors can be truly enthralled."

Rapid growth

Legacy announced in February 2025 that it was collaborating with Indonesia’s renowned Taman Safari for a comprehensive renewal of its flagship park in Bogor. Additionally, details of two all-new Safari Parks in Asia are set to be revealed in the coming months.

Taylor Jeffs, Legacy’s president, chief creative officer and one of its owners, says:

"The launch of our new Safari Park division caps off a year of major developments for us, including the announcement of the Beijing Haichang Ocean Park in China, and the Loco Water Park at Royal Caribbean’s upcoming Perfect Day Mexico."

The Safari Park Company marks the seventh of Legacy's business units, which were first announced in 2023 as part of a restructure and rebrand.

Its six existing divisions include The Theme Park Design Company, The Water Park Design Company, The Aquarium Design Company, The Mall Design Company, The Resort Design Company, and The Dark Ride Company.

Earlier this year, Legacy Entertainment shared details of its collaboration with Royal Caribbean to create Loco Waterpark at Perfect Day Mexico, which will feature the tallest waterslide tower in North and South America.
