Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima

Co-Founders and Graphic Designers

Studio MinaLima

Graphic designers Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima founded MinaLima, the design studio behind the graphic props of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.

Mina and Lima started working together in 2001 to imagine and create the graphic universe of the Harry Potter film franchise. With a common artistic vision, they crafted the entire graphic style of all the Harry Potter movies. In 2009, they formed their own design studio for the entertainment and publishing industries, Studio MinaLima.

Since finishing their work on the films, Mina and Lima have continued their involvement in the Harry Potter franchise with various design commissions for the Wizarding World. For example, the studio spent two years designing all the graphic elements for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando Resort.

In 2015, MinaLima started designing the graphic props for the recent film series, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The studio’s latest design venture is House of MinaLima, a gallery and shop that provides a narrative environment for the graphic designs of the Harry Potter franchise. It also showcases MinaLima’s other artwork and publications.

One nomination says MinaLima has “forever changed the focus on graphic design in theme parks”.

“Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima show the world that with love and dedication to the magnificent craft of graphic design, you can truly make a difference,” it adds.
