Josh Goldblum Founder & CEO Bluecadet

Josh Goldblum is an Emmy-award-winning creative executive and entrepreneur who works at the intersection of art, technology, and culture. He is the CEO and founder of Bluecadet, an experience design agency that has overseen signature projects for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Nike, the MIT Museum, the Smithsonian, and Google. He also curates and hosts Futurespaces, an interview series exploring innovation in contemporary experience design.

Before founding Bluecadet, he worked in documentary film and web development. His background in storytelling and multimedia laid the foundation for his approach to digital experience design, which focuses on combining narrative with cutting-edge technology. He established Bluecadet in 2007 to fill a niche for institutions looking to leverage digital tools to enhance their exhibits and online presence. Under Goldblum’s leadership, Bluecadet has become known for its innovative use of technology to engage audiences and tell compelling stories in physical and digital spaces.

Bluecadet has worked with iconic museums such as the Smithsonian Institution, The Franklin Institute, and the Art Institute of Chicago. These projects often involve creating interactive exhibits and digital installations that engage visitors in new ways. For instance, at the National Air and Space Museum, Bluecadet helped develop interactive elements that allow visitors to explore space missions and aeronautical history in a hands-on, engaging manner.

One recent project was the MIT Museum, where guests can experience first-hand how MIT-led innovations shape the future. Working closely with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and partners, Bluecadet produced over 20 interactives throughout 20,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space. The museum incorporates various interactive, playful, and informational engagements, inspiring curiosity and wonder.

Josh Goldblum is a thought leader in digital experience design for museums and cultural spaces. He frequently speaks at conferences and events, sharing insights on topics like interactive storytelling, design thinking, and the role of technology in cultural institutions.
