Kimberly Kay serves as retail store manager and buyer at the Scott Family Amazeum, a science museum in Bentonville, Arkansas. The Amazeum is a hub of creativity and discovery, with around 50,000 square feet of exhibit and learning spaces.
“Kimberly Kay is committed to fostering inclusive, innovative and community-minded learning and business spaces,” said one nominator. As part of this, she connects young people to hands-on learning opportunities through a youth programme at the museum. This has already reached more than 300 young people in its first year.
“Kimberly opens up access to effective learning products in the Curiosity Corner store she manages. She has kept our museum store at the top of the list of children’s learning stores in our region because she researches and leads a team to find the best products for our community,” the nominator added.
“Her perspectives, dedication to excellence and humility make her an extremely valuable part of our museum team. She has shaped the way the museum field looks at inclusion, collaboration, effective marketing and spreading high-quality hands-on learning throughout our region.”
