Stephanie Shapiro is the co-founder and managing director of Environment & Culture Partners, a non-profit organisation on a mission to accelerate the environmental leadership of the cultural sector. The group empowers museums, zoos, gardens, aquariums and historic sites to implement evidence-based environment and climate solutions by providing clarity of work and connection of resources to deliver impact at scale.

As managing director, Stephanie Shapiro steers the organisation in its mission to inspire the cultural sector through robust environmental leadership, leveraging her expertise in organisational strategy, change management, partnerships, and work with nonprofits. Previously, as a consultant at Eagle Hill Consulting, Shapiro perfected her skills in forming strategic partnerships, business process improvement, and portfolio management, which now fuel all of the impactful projects at ECP. 

Environment & Culture Partners’ collaborative approach has engaged more than 500 cultural institutions, fostering a community dedicated to climate-smart work. The group’s success is reflected in the depth of its relationships and the innovative solutions it brings to the table, always striving to empower every cultural institution to be an advocate for the planet.
