Creators of exceptional visitor experiences, JRA (Jack Rouse Associates), is celebrating the opening of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America (MSHFA).
Among the stars at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Bobby Allison, Kurt Busch, Richard Childress, Tom D’Eath, Hurley Haywood, Rusty Wallace, Darrell Waltrip and Humpy Wheeler.
“The racing immortals who were with us helped us usher in a new era for the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America,” commented MSHFA President, Ron Watson.
The redesigned facility at Daytona International Speedway showcases the full spectrum of American motorsports.
JRA’s expertise has transformed the entire 23,000 square feet of exhibition space. The company provided complete planning, design, project management and art direction for the project. Exhibit fabrication was provided by The Nassal Company, audiovisual integration by Electrosonic, and lighting design by Abernathy Lighting Design.
The exhibits reflect the MSHFA’s mission to highlight and instill the core values of leadership, creativity, originality, teamwork and spirit of competition embodied in motorsports.
Eye-Catching Graphics and Treasured Artefacts
Eye-catching graphics and treasured artefacts honour the pioneers and legends of America’s motorsports heritage. Displays reference drag racing, aviation, motorcycles, powerboats, sports cars, stock cars, open wheel racing and the racing world at large.
One of the key exhibits is the Hall of Heroes. It spans the full height of the building and features legendary motor speed vehicles. From here, visitors access a circular pavillion housing plaques honouring the most recent inductees to the Hall of Fame. After a year, these inductees will join their fellow heroes in their respective fields.
“The compelling stories of all of our inductees – our ‘Heroes of Horsepower’ – collectively form the foundation of our new facility,” added Watson. “Combine those individual histories with our many classic racing vehicles and our other exhibits, and you have a fall of fame that is truly a ‘must-see’.”
JRA is a leading name in the design and project management of sports attractions. Past clients include NCAA, NASCAR, Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves, Seattle Seahawks, and University of Kentucky Wildcats.
The company is committed to creating world-class visitor experiences for sport, entertainment, cultural, and corporate clients around the globe.
