Museum Connections 2022

Institutions will travel to French capital this spring for the industry exhibition

Museum Connections, the international exhibition for museums and cultural sites, has revealed the new timing for this year’s event, designed for members of the museum and gallery sector.

Previously scheduled for January, the exhibition will now take place on 30 – 31 March 2022. The focus for this year will be the ongoing business and sustainability challenges faced by museums, cultural and tourist destinations. Museum Connections will take place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in Hall Three.

Staying on trend

As a key part of the international community, Museum Connections brings together the sector’s professionals each year in Paris, providing attendees with many opportunities to learn and network with colleagues from institutions around the world.

The last Museum Connections event saw more than 3510 participants visit in 2020, with 365 exhibiting companies representing 42 participating countries.

Museum Connections highlights the latest trends and innovations that are projected to reimagine future visitor experiences, this year using the overarching theme of “Let’s inspire tomorrow’s culture and tourism experience”.

This year’s event will also feature a pop-up store, where attendees can discover key trends and find new products that are a good match for their institution, along with advice from retail experts. Eight cultural destinations will be providing their tourism retail specialists from around the world to share the key trends to watch with visitors.

Register today

The event will be taking appropriate measures in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and as such all badges must be ordered online for the 2022 show as none will be sold onsite during the trade show. Attendees are recommended to check the French Ministry of the Interior website for the latest advice regarding health measures and required documents for travelling to Paris.

Tickets are now available for the conference, with a discounted rate available until 29 March 2022. More information about the exhibition can be found on the Museum Connections website.

Highlights from the last Museum Connections event included cultural merchandising ideas in MuseumShop, displays of industry-leading innovations in MuseumTech, and a popular matchmaking programme that fostered 300 business meetings.
