The Natural History Museum in London has announced the theme and products for its sold-out Pokémon pop-up shop, opening later this month.

The theme of the pop-up is 'Pokécology', inspired by the Japanese publication Pokécology: An Illustrated Guide to Pokémon Ecology, and reflecting the Pokémon brand's focus on the natural world.

Pokémon x Natural History Museum is running from 26 January through 19 April in the museum's Cranbourne Boutique shop.

All tickets to the free pop-up shop have been claimed, showing demand for themed retail experiences.

Exclusive merchandise created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum will include stationery, clothing, pins, bags, posters, and a special Pikachu plush.

Also on offer will be an oversized Pokémon TCG promo card featuring Pikachu at the Museum, available as a gift with purchase.

Many of the products will also be available online via the Natural History Museum's online shop from midday on 26 January, while stocks last.

In early February, select ranges will also launch on Pokémon Center, the official UK store for Pokémon products.

From 30 January, the Pikachu at the Museum card will also be available as a gift with purchase at select UK retailers, but not via Pokémon Center.

Due to demand, in-store and online purchases will be limited to one of each item per customer, and a maximum of five items per customer.

The Pikachu at the Museum card is also limited to one per customer.

Adam Farrar, director of commercial and visitor experience for the Natural History Museum, said in a previous statement: "There is such a wonderful alignment between Pokémon and the Natural History Museum – we’re obviously both big fans of the natural world and its evolution and diversity.

"We hope this collaboration will spark joy and curiosity in the creatures around us, both in the world of Pokémon and Earth."
