blooloop is pleased to announce the blooloop 50 Zoo and Aquarium Influencer List 2026.
Now in its fifth year, this year's List is revealed in partnership with our good friends at WAZA, the global alliance of regional associations, national federations, zoos, and aquariums dedicated to caring for and conserving animals and their habitats worldwide.
The list was revealed in a webinar with Ruth Read, director at blooloop, and Dr Martín Zordan, chief executive officer at the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).
Now more than ever, zoos and aquariums serve as champions for conservation and sustainability. Through critical research and education, they protect endangered species and their habitats whilst also inspiring visitors to take action.
A global community committed to protecting wildlife
Thanks to judges David Field, president, WAZA; Karen Fifield, immediate past president, WAZA; Isabel Li, head of education, Ocean Park Corporation; Judy Mann-Lang, senior advisor, Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation; Kevin Mills, president and CEO, South Carolina Aquarium; and Luis Soto Rendón, general director, Guadalajara Zoo
The blooloop 50 lists are open to all, with entrants being nominated by their peers from across the industry. It gives those in the visitor attractions industry a chance to celebrate colleagues they feel have made a significant contribution to the museum sector over the past year.
"The blooloop 50 Zoo & Aquarium Influencer List celebrates the thinkers, doers, innovators and storytellers whose passion inspires change far beyond their own organisations," says Field.
