Europa-Park's multi-sensory fine-dining restaurant Eatrenalin has been awarded its first Michelin star.

Located within Germany's Europa-Park, Eatrenalin is a media-based, multi-sensory restaurant where guests are seated on dark ride vehicles for an 8-course fine-dining meal.


A world-first in luxury experiential fine dining, Eatrenalin was created by Thomas Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park, and gastronomy expert Oliver Altherr, CEO of Marché International.

"It fills us with great joy and gratitude that our restaurant, Eatrenalin, has been awarded a Michelin star," said Mack.

"From the very beginning, Eatrenalin has been a culinary vision that aims to combine pleasure, emotion and innovation in a truly unique way.

"This accolade underlines our ambition to continuously develop Europa-Park’s culinary profile."

Eatrenalin was awarded a Michelin star by the Michelin Guide Germany on 23 June.

Top chef Peter Hagen-Wiest, who is in charge of culinary direction at Eatrenalin, has also held two Michelin stars at the Ammolite – House of Light restaurant for 12 consecutive years.

"These awards mean a great deal to us," he said.

"They confirm the strength of our teams and, at the same time, spur us on to further develop the restaurant with the same innovative spirit and commitment to quality."

Opened in 2022, Eatrenalin features specially designed and patented Floating Chairs by Mack Rides.

Since Hagen-Wiest took over as head chef in May 2025, Eatrenalin has set new standards in gastronomic excellence.

Via the Michelin Guide: "His extraordinary concept consistently incorporates ideas from renowned colleagues.

"The result: modern, creative, internationally inspired dishes made from top-quality produce, perfectly balanced in flavour. A unique, almost futuristic gastronomic experience!"

Eatrenalin is looking to expand internationally, with a goal to bring the concept to life in selected major cities and set new trends in experiential dining.
