Six Flags is considering changing the name of Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, with options including 'Six Flags Over North Ohio'.
The potential change comes after the 2024 merger between Cedar Fair and Six Flags to form the largest operator of amusement parks in North America.
Now, Six Flags is sending surveys to select passholders asking them how they would feel about a new name incorporating 'Six Flags'.
Via WCPO, possible names for Cedar Point include 'Six Flags Over North Ohio', which would completely remove 'Cedar Point' from the title.

A spokesperson for Six Flags told the publication: "The survey was designed to test a variety of naming concepts and better understand what resonates with guests.
"The options are research concepts, not proposed or final names. Exploring a broad range of ideas helps us learn what guests value most about our parks and brands and gives us another input as we make decisions for the future."
"No decisions have been made regarding park names," the statement added.
In addition to Cedar Point, Six Flags is considering changing the name of Kings Island in Ohio, with suggestions including 'Kings Island by Six Flags' and 'Six Flags Over Kings Island'.
Post-merger changes
Six Flags said its research is being conducted in all markets, including Canada and Mexico.
Earlier this year, Six Flags completed the sale of six US theme parks to new owner EPR Properties, including Valleyfair, Worlds of Fun, Six Flags St. Louis and Six Flags Great Escape. The company has also sold Canada's La Ronde.
Six Flags is North America’s largest regional amusement resort operator, with 21 amusement parks, 14 water parks and nine resort properties across 13 states in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
