Therme Group and Marriott International are joining forces to explore the future of wellness in travel and hospitality.

The partnership brings together Marriott's global platform and Therme's expertise in wellness, longevity and social experiences.

The two companies are exploring a series of initiatives, including introducing the Therme concept to Marriott Bonvoy members and developing travel packages connected to Therme destinations.

Therme will also work with the Marriott Design Lab, which serves as Marriott's research and development hub, testing products and services that enhance hotel operations and travel experiences.

"Some of the most memorable travel experiences are the ones that change how you feel," said Peggy Roe, EVP and chief customer officer at Marriott International.

"Today's guests are looking for experiences that help them slow down, recharge, and reconnect, making wellbeing an increasingly important part of the journey.

"That's what makes this collaboration with Therme so exciting. Together, we have an opportunity to create moments of restoration, joy, and connection that elevate every stay and create experiences guests won't find anywhere else."

Therme and Marriott will focus on areas customer service, design innovation, wellness research and future global development opportunities.

Wellbeing in the hospitality space

Additionally, Therme will help inform the reimagining of hotel amenities, including spas, fitness areas and guest room concepts.

"Marriott has set the global standard for hospitality, particularly in how it understands and serves its guests," said Robert Hanea, founder and CEO of Therme Group.

“For Therme, this is an opportunity to apply our approach to integrated wellbeing within the hospitality space, in a way that is social, immersive, and experienced at scale.

"With more than two decades operating large-scale wellbeing environments, we see strong potential to collaborate across Marriott’s global network."

Last month, Therme Group announced the launch of the world's first carbon footprint tool for the spa and wellness industry.
