Painting with Light partners Concept Factory for Rose's Mystery House

New attraction in Bucharest includes a fully themed café and bar, numerous walk-through attractions, and escape rooms

Painting with Light (PWL), a lighting and multimedia expert, is celebrating the grand opening of Rose’s Mystery House, a unique immersive entertainment venue in Bucharest, Romania.

The attraction launched in December 2025 and transports guests into a richly mysterious world through a fully themed café and bar, numerous walk-through attractions, and escape rooms.

Integrated approach

Rose’s Mystery House includes immersive environments, live show moments and dynamic lighting, all thoughtfully integrated to support the story and heighten the visitor experience.

As the lead creative and production partner, Concept Factory delivered interior design throughout, theming, and on-site construction. It commissioned PWL to provide the complete AV design and integration for the project.

PWL's expertise in lighting design and show control ensured a seamless, successful integration into the overall experience.

“Rose’s Mystery House demonstrates how a fully integrated design and build approach can translate a creative concept into a tangible, immersive environment that resonates strongly with visitors," says Concept Factory.

Versatile design

Rose’s Mystery House has been created as an immersive entertainment concept and original IP.

The story centres on Rose, a renowned myth hunter. Each location welcomes guests into one of her temporary homes and shares the local legends and ghost stories Rose has collected during her travels.

Developed as a modular, scalable experience, this narrative structure enables the concept to adapt to different cities and cultures while maintaining a consistent brand.

Guest feedback so far has been very positive, particularly regarding atmosphere, storytelling and overall immersion.

Further developments are being explored, with the aim of realising additional locations in Europe.

Recently, PWL marked a trio of projects that opened in Germany and Belgium in 2025. The company contributed to the Smurf dark ride at Plopsaland Germany, the Thor Experience in Genk, Belgium, and the Plopsa Theater at Plopsaland Belgium.
