Electric Playhouse merges the digital and physical worlds

Electric Playhouse, a new interactive experience featuring motion-activated games, is opening at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas later this month.

Launching on 22 June in the casino’s Forum Shops, Electric Playhouse merges the digital and physical worlds in dozens of motion-activated games and experiences.

Using their bodies as controllers, without the need for VR headsets or AR-enabled devices, guests will play various games in a vibrant environment with seven different areas.

Electric Playhouse venues are equipped with a network of sensors. The volumetric data generated is used to create a digital avatar of each guest, like a player inside a video game.

As guests move, the walls, floors and tables react to their actions. The surrounding environment is enhanced by 360-degree projection mapping.

“In a world where passively sitting in front of screens with video games, smartphones, VR and TV is all too common, Electric Playhouse provides an active, social and energetic entertainment alternative,” said Brandon Garrett, chief executive officer and co-founder of Electric Playhouse.

“Our goal is to re-energize the way people of all ages interact with technology by inviting them into an experiential world where they can connect, play and create lasting memories together.”

The Las Vegas location will be Electric Playhouse’s second venue. Its first opened in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2021.

Later this summer, Electric Playhouse in Las Vegas will offer a bar, as well as themed dining experiences. These will be held in a multi-sensory space with motion-activated projection, light and sound.

Also in Las Vegas, an attractions and gaming hub called The Lab has opened at Area15, an immersive entertainment complex.
