Embed International Women's Day IWD2022

Equity and equality delivers business results for everyone at the diverse company

Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, has launched a campaign that celebrates a woman’s place – anywhere she wants to be – on International Women’s Day.

The attractions technology company, which works with theme parks, amusement arcades and FECs, aims to put an end to gender inequality in the tech sector.

CEO Renee Welsh says “At Embed, we believe in the value of diversity in our talent pool. We have a shared commitment to gender parity at all levels of an organisation because we believe in the boundless intellectual, leadership, cultural, and commercial strength that results from harnessing and realising the talent capital of gender and cultural equality.

“We take great pride in not only being gender-equal but putting an end to gender inequality in our tech sector.”

A third of Embed’s Chief Executive Leadership team is made up of women, with the company saying it is proud to be an example of what companies of all sizes should aspire to achieve.

Commitment to equality

Embed’s chief technology officer in development, Andy Welsh says “Looking back on our twenty years in the industry, I would say that the amazing women in our organisation are major decision-makers, players, and contributors to the success we are enjoying.”

The tech firm has released its International Women’s Day manifesto, featured below, the by-product of gender and cultural parity attained from a committed leadership team. In its technology and development teams, over half (60%) of leadership members are women.

Building teams for success

Studies have shown the benefits of diversity in leadership. Research by McKinsey (Women in the Workplace 2021) showed that “a strong relationship exists between diversity on leadership teams and the likelihood of financial outperformance for companies. The most gender-diverse companies are 48% more likely to outperform the least gender-diverse companies.”

Organisational equality is shown to result in greater revenue performance, whilst debiasing technology development. Embed offers its employees a structured support approach to support, with diverse mentoring, coaching and role model advocates, as well as a defined selection of policies and values designed to drive gender and cultural diversity.

On an individual level, Embed provides equitable access to training, projects, and other resources which enable the contribution and advancement of staff members.

Chief Marketing Officer for Embed Sara Paz concludes “We are proud to redefine the statement ‘Put her in her place’ to highlight the amazing contributions and capabilities of women everywhere. We are privileged and humbled to be in a position as a global leader in our tech sector to become an empowering force of the change we want to see in the world.”

Honouring women in the industry, Embed will be hosting Happy Hour events at their forthcoming trade show booths in Las Vegas and Dubai. Those interested in Embed’s contribution to International Women’s Day or its products for the attractions sector can pre-book a meeting for the Amusement Expo and DEAL Show.
