Pophouse, the company behind ABBA's hologram concerts, has acquired a majority stake in the music interests of the late Tina Turner.

In a statement, Pophouse said it has completed a strategic transaction with music company BMG to become the majority owner in "the music interests of the catalogue" of Turner, as well as in the name, image and likeness rights.

Pophouse CEO Jessica Koravos said: "We will now set in motion a series of creative projects to celebrate Tina Turner’s remarkable music and persona and secure her legacy as the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll."

Johan Lagerlöf, Pophouse's managing partner and head of investments, said: "We are incredibly proud to be entrusted with helping celebrate and develop Tina Turner’s extraordinary legacy."

He added: "We look forward to developing new and exciting projects that respectfully carry her legacy forward for generations to come."

Pophouse, alongside BMG and the Tina Turner Estate, will develop creative ideas that "respect and laud Tina Turner’s artistry" and "continue to elevate her work and legacy".

Turner is one of the top-selling female artists of all time, winning 12 Grammy Awards and twice inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Her body of work includes hits such as 'What’s Love Got to Do with It' and 'The Best'.

BMG, president, UK, continental Europe and APAC, Alistair Norbury, said: "Tina Turner’s voice and spirit shaped modern music and popular culture.

"Our responsibility, alongside Pophouse and the estate, is to ensure her work continues to resonate with audiences around the world, while remaining true to the strength, independence and originality that defined her career."

In 2024, American rock band Kiss sold their music catalogue, brand name and likeness to Pophouse, which was founded by ABBA singer Bjorn Ulvaeus.

Pophouse previously acquired Cyndi Lauper 's music catalogue.
