PortAventura World in Spain is expanding with two new attractions for the 2026 season – a family area with a unique water coaster and an adventure trail.
Caribe Aquatic Park, PortAventura World's water park, is growing with the addition of Coral Bay, The Lost Legend – a 6,000-square-metre family area.
Guests will be immersed in a formerly submerged pirate bay that has risen from the ocean depths as they enjoy a family water coaster unique to Europe, an adventure pool with a world-exclusive aquatic obstacle course, new waterslides, and a new F&B outlet.
At the PortAventura World theme park, Makamanu Jungle, The Adventure Trek is a new adventure trail located in the Polynesia area.
The outdoor exploration experience will include secret walkways, hanging bridges, and several nature-integrated challenges.
PortAventura World's wider growth strategy
Fernando Aldecoa, general manager of PortAventura World, said: "At PortAventura World, we are committed to continuously developing our offerings to provide increasingly memorable experiences.
"We listen to our customers, and the new features we’re announcing for 2026 reflect our dedication to continuing to surprise them, creating unique moments for all audiences.”
Both attractions will open to the public in the summer, and are part of PortAventura World's wider growth strategy.
In November, PortAventura World opened its new mixed-reality (XR) experience, Expedition ULUM: The Jurassic Awakening.

Prior to that, the resort launched El Diablo Neo, which it describes as the world's first XR roller coaster.
PortAventura World is one of Europe’s largest family holiday and leisure destinations. Since opening in 1995, it has welcomed more than 100 million visitors.
The resort operates six hotels and includes a theme park, Europe's only Ferrari Land, and the Caribe water park.
