ProIO, a company that provides consulting and programming solutions for technical entertainment systems, has announced the opening of its new headquarters in Central Florida, US, as the company shifts from a home-based model.

Brice Helman, CEO of ProIO, says: "While we enjoy and encourage the work-life balance benefits that come with working from home, our work is hands-on and collaborative in nature.

"After being an ‘online only’ company for a period of time with rare moments of meetup, we found that our highest levels of productivity took place in those situations where the team was together in one place.

"Cohesion doesn’t exist very well in virtual meetings, and we knew we needed to make a dedicated home base."

New fabrication facility

The company identified a facility conveniently located near its major clients in South Orlando, and the move quickly created an opportunity for growth.

Following the acquisition of UL 508A panel-building tooling and equipment, ProIO now operates a well-equipped fabrication facility.

Bryan Maier, vice president of ProIO, says: "A major service that is core to the ProIO line of expertise is show control and oftentimes that involves speciality equipment boxes that need to be designed and fabricated with precise specifications.

"When we consider the other advanced technology applications that we develop for our clients, having the ability to quickly mock up and test system components in-house helps guarantee performance of the bigger system and removes unknowns when doing projects that have never been done before."

With this new facility, ProIO’s collaborative approach has been strengthened across its range of services, from design to building, testing, or commissioning. The company continues to prioritise delivering the highest quality of service to its clients.

Last year, ProIO announced strategic partnerships with its long-time collaborators, Practical Imagination and SHIKI, marking an expanded range of services.
