Luce Group worked with Liberty Science Center's exhibit design team, Gensler, and Alcatel/Lucent on the renovation of the Bell Labs gallery space and conference room. The design consisted of traditional gallery lighting, in-case lighting, embedded decorative lighting, and both general and work lighting for the conference room. Challenges included different ceiling heights, different levels of daylight, and the need to preserve irreplaceable artifacts which ranged from the first telephone to written documents. Luce collaborated with Gensler to specify and lay out the track and auxiliary lighting, and with Liberty Science Center on the case work and gallery lighting.
