Luce Group: No Longer Empty

This exhibit, in - and inspired by - the former Tower Records store in downtown Manhattan, included over 20 contemporary artists working in a variety of mediums. The challenge was to bring attention to the art using, primarily, existing lighting. The metal halide track fixtures were creatively focused and the fluorescents were theatrically altered by inserting a deep blue gel. Luce Group also created an installation piece out of found lighting and electrical equipment, which served the dual purpose of adding interest to the escalator and blocking the access to the second floor.
