The Eden Project is holding a two-day event where people in Morecambe can co-create the exhibits and visitor experience for the new site.
Taking place on 23 and 24 April at the Morecambe Winter Gardens, the ‘Rhythm Makers’ event is open to everyone.
Per a press release, Rhythm Makers will be an ongoing programme of co-creation during the period before construction begins on the new Morecambe attraction later this year.
After this month’s open event, there will be a series of invite-only sessions for specific community groups. These will be followed by another open event later this year.

New eco-tourism attraction for UK
Si Bellamy, the Eden Project’s chief transformation officer, said: “We are hugely excited to hear the stories and personal experiences of people in Morecambe Bay.
“The work we will present at Rhythm Makers is a starting point to help inspire conversation with the community and we can’t wait to see the ideas and themes that will emerge during the two days.
“We have always been clear that this is a project for Morecambe and by the people of Morecambe and the Rhythm Makers process is a key component of this.”
Eden’s destination in Morecambe will be located on the central promenade on the site of the former Bubbles leisure complex. It is due to open for test events in 2026, with a full opening scheduled for spring 2027.
The eco-tourism project will cost £100 million, half of which is coming from the UK government’s Levelling Up fund.
