The companies plan to further develop the entertainment and immersive markets

Barco, the technology company focusing on innovative visualization solutions, has announced an extension of its partnership with a Turkish system integrator and supplier.

The firm’s new distribution agreement with Deltoid Technology leverages an already strong decade-long partnership, designed to strengthen the position of both companies in the developing Immersive Experiences market in Turkey.

The two companies boast a market share of more than 90% in the Turkish control rooms industry using Barco LED, LCD and RPC video wall solutions. Barco has outlined its plans to expand this market share, extending further into the entertainment market encompassing museums, theme parks and other visitor attractions. For this reason, they have extended the partnership which covers the distribution of Barco projection and image processing products in the Turkish market.

Delivering immersive experiences

The partnership has already secured first orders for E2 Gen 2, S3-4Ks, G-series and F80 projectors which have been delivered.

“The Barco video walls are the obvious choice for all our control room installations,” says Deltoid Technology general manager Serkan Kaya.

“In recent years, Turkey has invested significantly in the development of museums and visitor attractions. Deltoid sees the rise of these new immersive experiences as an important revenue growth opportunity. And if we want to tap into that market, we must choose the best partner with the industry-leading solutions.

“Barco’s expertise with global immersive experiences and strong projection portfolio will allow us to offer a great solution package to our partners and customers.”

Leveraging success

Global sales VP for immersive experiences at Barco, Ta Loong Gan adds: “Barco is excited for this extended partnership with Deltoid. We are convinced that together we can leverage the success of our collaboration in the control rooms sector and take it into the growing entertainment and immersive markets. We are looking forward to seeing lots of new Barco-powered immersive experiences in the region.”

Nominations for the blooloop 50 Museum Influencer List, in association with Barco, are now open. Confirmed members of the judging panel include Sharjah Museums Authority director general Manal Ataya and Barco segment marketing manager Lieven Bertels.
