Christie, the global visual and audio technology company, has marked the announcement of its next generation of projectors with several new additions to the lineup.
The HS Series 1DLP projector series now includes three new models, ranging in brightness up to 23,650 lumens. The new products utilise enhanced colour performance to create bright and bold visuals with Christie BoldColor+ technology.
The DWU15-HS, DWU19-HS and DWU23-HS projectors are 15,750, 19,150 and 23,650 lumens respectively, increasing the brightness range whilst ensuring reliability, quiet operation, and cost-efficiency which are hallmarks of the existing HS Series.
BoldColor+ has been developed to ensure that the latest generation of HS Series projectors is brighter and bolder, creating deeper blacks and more realistic on-screen imagery.
Christie’s DWU19-HS and DWU23-HS models support passive polarised 3D as standard, with all three models including onboard Christie Twist for Christie Mystique-compatible warping and blending.
Christie HS Series projectors are utilised for live events, themed attractions and museums around the world, with projects including the set of the TV show The Masked Singer Vietnam, projection mapping onto India’s iconic Red Fort, and galleries at the Shanghai Astronomy Museum.
Spectacular visuals
In addition to the three new HS Series models, Christie has announced a new 14,250 lumen GS Series 1DLP projector, the DWU1400-GS. Featuring Christie RealBlack, the model delivers spectacular visuals with 4,000,000:1 contrast.
The new HS Series and DWU1400-GS models all feature a five-year warranty.
“Our new projectors increase colour performance to deliver visuals that move the needle closer to 3DLP in a 1DLP package,” says Christie associate product manager Suhan Bijai. “We are setting a new benchmark for colour and brightness in 1DLP projection with the launch of our HS Series and GS Series projectors.”
Mystique is an automated camera-based alignment and recalibration software solution that allows technicians to efficiently install, align, calibrate and maintain multi-projector systems.
Accessories for the first generation of HS Series, such as lenses and mounts, will be compatible with the new models.
Christie DWU15-HS, DWU19-HS and DWU23-HS are now available to order, with the Christie DWU1400-GS being shipped starting in October.
Earlier this summer, Christie announced the appointment of Ernest (Ernie) Bakenie as senior director of entertainment, working from Orlando, Florida, US.
