New projectors support HD 3D content and video conferencing

Christie, the global visual and audio technology company has announced two new projector models joining the 1DLP range.

The latest models are designed for high-use environments, providing reliability and performance for organisations. The projectors are available with either 9,000 or 10,600 ISO lumens brightness levels, catering for indoor spaces such as conference rooms, museums, galleries and more.

Christie’s director of product management Joel St-Denis says “With their compact footprint and quiet operation, the new Christie GS Series models won’t distract audiences from the bright, vibrant projected images.

“For installations that require multiple projectors, such as smaller entertainment venues, places of worship and themed attractions, the included warping and blending tools will save both time and money.”

The two projectors utilise laser illumination, providing 20,000 hours of consistent luminance at 50% brightness and low operating costs. With no need for lamp or filter replacements, routine maintenance is kept to a minimum.

Warping and blending tools are integrated into the new GS models, thanks to Christie Twist, meaning quick, easy alignment onto screens for multi-projector blending.

Christie Mystique Lite, which works with inexpensive webcams, is an optional time-saving piece of camera-based alignment software, compatible with up to three stackable horizontal projectors to align them in a matter of minutes. Mystique Lite is available to download for Christie customers at no additional cost and can be upgraded to warp, stack and blend larger projection arrays on more complex screens and surfaces.

The new additions to the GS Series are compatible with a comprehensive portfolio of motorised interchangeable lenses. The Christie DWU880-GS model is available in black or white, with TAA-compliant models available. The DWU1100-GS is a black, TAA-compliant model. Both projector models are now available to order.

Christie has recently showcased its efforts in the Opportunity Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, which uses its projectors to create a garden on the building’s vast ceiling.
