Christie, the global visual and audio technology company, has announced the launch of two new premium RGB pure laser projectors, the Christie CP4415-RGB and CP4420-RGB, giving high-end DCI compliant cinema performance for smaller screens. The all-in-one 4K resolution projectors are ideal for small-screen auditoriums, boutique cinemas, post-production, screening rooms and more.
The Christie CP4415-RGB is already in action at CinemaCon, in the Milano 1 Ballroom. This is suitable for screens up to 58 feet (18 metres) wide, delivering up to 15,000 lumens. Meanwhile, the Christie CP4420-RGB is can be used with screens up to 67 feet (20 metres), delivering up to 20,000 lumens.
Over 50,000 hours of performance
Both the CP4415-RGB and the CP4420-RGB include a RealLaser RGB pure laser illumination light source, for more than 50,000 hours of top-quality performance. Christie’s latest RGB pure laser projectors provide vibrant visuals, thanks to the Multi-Laser Pack Devices (MPDs), producing a wide colour gamut with over 95% of Rec. 2020 coverage. They also offer exceptional brightness, image uniformity and contrast.
“These new projectors are ideal for small to medium-sized screens, allowing exhibitors the opportunity to provide fantastic 4K RGB pure laser performance at an affordable price point and use the same lenses found on many of their existing 2K projectors,” says Allan Fernandes, director, product management, Cinema, Christie.
“Exhibitors can expect outstanding ROI and reliability from their investment, with a long-lasting light source and sealed optics for reduced maintenance. The CP4415-RGB and CP4420-RGB use the same Cinelife+ electronics and imagers found on our premium large format RGB pure laser projectors but cater to a greater variety of budgets and screen size applications in the market.”
The two new products are available now. Christie Professional Services is also available, providing technical support, on-site services, extended parts coverage and logistics support.
Recently, Christie officially became a technology partner for the redevelopment of BAFTA’s headquarters in London. It has also announced the launch of the latest version of Christie Mystique, an automated camera-based alignment software solution that simplified and automates the process of warping and blending multiple projectors into a single canvas.
