The firm has helped organisations to celebrate anniversaries and break new records

Dronisos, a leading drone light show specialist, has reported a dynamic summer of unique drone performances, taking place on various continents and sites around the world.

Recently, over one weekend alone, the company performed ten shows at six different locations including two theme parks, across three countries. “Our shows are getting bigger and brighter, and we have been busier than ever,” says a Dronisos representative.

Amongst the highlights is its latest collaboration with Dollywood. The Sweet Summer Nights Drone & Fireworks Show is said to have become a family favourite at the Tennessee park, with this year’s spectacle featuring bigger drones and new illuminated scenes. It is the first regular nightly production Dronisos has produced for a US theme park.

“[Park guests can] experience summer’s best moments as hundreds of Dronisos drones dance across the night sky to tell a unique Dollywood story through 3D animations and a symphony of light,” the firm adds.

Record-breaking performances

Dronisos has also made its debut in Argentina with a performance on 3 June 2022. Taking place in Buenos Aires, the show coincided with Tecnópolis, the largest science, technology, industry and art exhibition in the country. The show also celebrated one hundred years of YPF, the state-owned energy institution.

Dronisos has also worked on the largest drone show ever performed in Portugal. Marking the countdown to the new Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+, a stunning performance took place above the skyline of the northern region of Parque das Nações in Lisbon.

Music and movies

Meanwhile, in Rome, Dronisos has celebrated the premiere of Laura Pausini – Piacere di Donoscerti, an Amazon Original production. The capital city’s skies hosted a spectacle with 500 drones perfectly synchronised to the tunes and lyrics of Scatola, the film’s soundtrack, creating the world’s first karaoke session in the sky.

Dronisos was also at Les Vieilles Charruesm, a premiere music event in France with almost 300,000 festivalgoers attending the multi-day event. This year, the country’s largest festival was celebrating its 30th anniversary, for which Dronisos planned a special tribute performance. As midnight approaches, hundreds of Dronisos drones took to the skies above Carhaix to celebrate the significant milestone along with audiences of thousands.

Dronisos helped Disneyland Paris to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year with a dedicated nighttime spectacular besides its Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant icon.
