ECA2, a leading creator of high-quality multimedia shows, has announced that its latest show, Kiss the Stars, will open to the public on 24 December 2022. This world-class seafront water spectacular is a new permanent show at Sun World Group’s Sunset Town resort on Phu Quoc Island in southern Vietnam.
Set on a unique aquatic stage, complete with the world’s largest water projection screen, Kiss the Stars is a love story brought to life with a wide range of multimedia effects, including fire and water, light and sound.
Kiss the Stars presents an unforgettable romance
The story follows the story of a local boy who falls for a girl from space. She is transported to Earth through a Black Hole vortex, reproduced for the audience with stunning special effects. The show explains how the Black Hole acts as a bridge across space and time, giving Sunset Town’s Kiss Bridge and Kiss Island a unique origin story.
The show, which was created, designed and produced by ECA2, is designed to work as an all-multimedia experience or a hybrid one that includes dozens of live cast members.
For ECA2, the challenge was to create a stage that interacts with the existing elements, like Kiss Bridge, Kiss Island, and the resort’s cable car. The outdoor theatre, with its aquatic stage, is the biggest project that the firm has created to date. The show’s water cascade screen measures 1,000 square metres.
“Kiss the Stars is genuinely the harmonious integration of a monumental architectural multimedia show,” says Jean-Christophe Canizares, chairman & CEO of ECA2
Daan Duijm, Sun World Group director of operations and set-up, adds:
“The Kiss the Stars show is not just pushing boundaries in Vietnam but worldwide. From the 1000m2 Sea Water Cascade, to the almost 300 special effect fixtures, guests will be impressed by the iconic arches and immersed in a world class show experience.”
Stay tuned for the new year, when blooloop will explore the creation of this new show in more detail.
Last year, ECA2 was also chosen to design and produce a stunning laser and light show for Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, with the goal of creating a show like no other for New Year’s Eve and beyond.
