Over 40 awards were presented to top-performing staff

Gateway Ticketing Systems, a leading provider of admission control systems, has acknowledged some of its most outstanding people during its annual Employee Service Awards. 

This year’s honorees were chosen for their exceptional and unwavering commitment, with tear-long observations and valuable encounters by leaders and colleagues playing a part in the awards programme. Awards are allocated based on notable performance, successes and attitudes in 2022, focussed on the leisure tech company’s core values.

The celebration is divided into three categories each year: Core Value Awards, Polaris Awards and the President’s Award. The award recipients are truly a symbolic representation of the Gateway Ticketing Systems team.

Core Value Awards

The Company has used the criteria contained in these categories as the fundamental and guiding tools to uphold its performance for more than three decades. The recipients of these awards have demonstrated exceeding expectations in these areas, winning praise from their superiors and peers.

  • Customer Care Award: Given to Jason Cloud and Erik Kapilow for consistently exhibiting exceptional customer service performance in their delivery and presentation.
  • Integrity Award: Given to Bill D’AngeloAngela Izzo and John Patterson for consistently exhibiting strong character, honesty and fairness in all interactions with customers and peers.
  • Passion Award: – Given to Wes Moser, Hillary Rooker and Matt Steckiel for showing extraordinary dedication and enthusiasm for the company, its mission and its customers.
  • Accountability Award: Given to Ted Mike and Rachel Shaw for demonstrating a high level of ownership and responsibility in their work by seeing projects through to the end, fulfilling deadlines and maintaining high quality.
  • Teamwork Award: Given to Norman CastorKori Richards and Tom Traegler for demonstrating excellence in developing and sustaining cooperative and collaborative professional relationships.
  • Communication Award: Given to Daniel Demkiv and Marcy Emory for consistently exhibiting effective and concise communication.
  • Innovation Award: Given to Angela Izzo and David Lambert for creative and radical ideas that uphold Gateway’s status as a cutting-edge industry pioneer.

Polaris Awards

Employees recognized with these awards are those who served as a shining example and guiding presence to their coworkers throughout the year.

  • Calm in the Eye of the Storm Award: Given to Shawn Kramer and Thomas McAree for being unperturbed during chaotic and high-pressure situations, whilst delivering outstanding results with clarity and focus.
  • Positive Vibes Award: Given to Katie Hull and Kevin Robinson for motivating peers and keeping things positive through encouragement, humour and making the workplace fun.
  • Outstanding Mentor Award: Given to David Lambert and Jen Porter for being influential to others in meeting departmental objectives, mentoring or providing assistance for others, suggesting initiatives or changes that will support group productivity, and investing in coaching and/or mentoring newer associates.
  • Out of This World Performance Award: Given to Jarod Kulp, Ignacio Mosqueda and Chad Wallace for delivering phenomenal results daily as “A Players”, being well respected by their peers, and exemplifying core values while maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Overcoming Obstacles Award: Given to Dana Amole RonitzJenny Hoffman and Bon Soma for pursuing goals despite adversity by finding a way to complete the mission regardless of unexpected challenges, limited resources or inflexible timelines.
  • Unsung Heroes Award: Given to Linda BushJen ButlerRandy Tapson and Donna Walp for their non-customer-facing roles and whose behind-the-scenes support has made a critical impact on the more highly visible operations of the company.
  • Company Spirit Award: Given to Kelly Bules and Glen McWilliams for exemplifying the company’s culture, mission and values in their interactions with customers and other employees. 
  • Technical Excellence Award: Given to Jerry BurchardDan Haviland and Matt Steckiel for consistently displaying excellence in problem-solving, developing, or implementing challenging or complex issues, projects or applications.
  • Rookie of the Year Award: Given to Lisa Hustej and Dan Sheehan for significantly impacting their team and company with an all-star performance and game-changing potential in a short period, having started in the last year. 

President’s Award

  • This accolade was presented to Kori Richards and Matt Steckie for exemplifying high performance, with significant personal achievement that drives substantial results. The award recipients embody the Company’s Core Values in everything they do.

Gateway Ticketing Systems recently met clients and prospective customers at IAAPA Expo in Florida, where the firm highlighted its latest services to buyers and leaders of the industry.
