Gateway Ticketing Systems, a leading provider of admission control systems, has announced it is teaming up with WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, to deliver its second webinar celebrating International Women’s Day 2022.
This year’s theme, #BreakTheBias – How to Forge a Gender Equal Workplace, will showcase industry leaders discussing important topics impacting the attractions industry such as hiring biases, implementing bias training and increasing access to employment opportunities. The aim is to promote and create a “diverse, equitable and inclusive attractions industry workplace” where differences are celebrated and valued.
Gateway Ticketing Systems’ senior manager of human resources Alicia Huppman says “We want to amplify discussions around how people can support and be allies for women in the workplace. These important conversations around addressing our overt and underlying biases need to happen more regularly and need to be featured more prominently in our industry.”
Gateway Ticketing System’s Leena Devlin, manager of product deployment will be one of the speakers at the event. The company has a history of supporting employees with recognition initiatives and industry events.
Expert panel
Panellists will share personal experiences and observations, providing applicable recommendations and advice to women and their allies on success and balancing careers, family and fulfilment.
Other panellists for the session will include the senior director of core services, attractions operation at Meow Wolf, Adrea Gibbs; CX solutions technology global VP, for Aristocrat Technologies Inc, Michael Jungen; and Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor director of marketing & sales Sharon Parker.
The wider question
The session will be moderated by WhiteWater‘s chief marketing officer Una de Boer.
“Organisations prosper when bias is acknowledged and addressed so that talent can be developed and a variety of voices can be heard,” says de Boer.
“How do we remove bias and barriers and encourage greater workplace and leadership equity? This panel has great practical insights to share and help us do just that – I am looking forward to hearing what they say.
“Thanks go to Gateway for hosting this session and bringing these conversations to the forefront.”
Huppman further comments on the partnership saying “We are proud to partner with WhiteWater on this initiative for the second year in a row as the core values of their organisation and employees align well with ours.”
