Hero Zone, a new VR platform for the industry will be launching at IAAPA Expo Europe in Paris next week.
The new platform is powered by industry-first mobile hardware that includes movement tracking from the “inside-out” meaning there is no need for powerful gaming PCs dedicated to each player and halving the upfront cost compared to other VR platforms.
With no cable system or heavy backpacks, players can move about the virtual world in true freedom. It is easy for players to tag in and out, meaning a quicker play-through rate for consumers and for operators an increase in foot traffic, more ticket sales and a faster R.O.I.
Hero Zone has created three games for the platform focusing on team play covering the genres of survival horror, lighthearted fantasy and a retro arcade game. There are plans to add escape rooms games in the near future too.
Portability and profitability
The entire set-up will be portable as the smallest 4-player out-of-the-box VR platform on the market, occupying just 13.5 sqm. With less bulky equipment, delivery and set-up is quick- the entire system is designed to be dismantled and rebuilt in 1 hour. There is no training or extra cost required or any ongoing fees for support or ownership, further raising the profitability from the platform.
In addition to family entertainment centres and location-based entertainment, the portability of Hero Zone makes it ideal for singular events like corporate parties, fairs, fundraisers, weddings or promotions.
